If you're a true skin-care junkie, chances are you already own a facial-cleansing brush. Maybe it's sonic, maybe it's made of nubby silicone, maybe it's been sitting on your counter unused because you haven't changed the brush head in months. But there's a new cleansing device that does something seriously cool and different—it melts off your makeup. Let me explain.

This brush is designed for people who really, really love cleansing their face (like me, I use no less than three products to get clean every night). At first glance, the Panasonic Micro-Foaming Cleansing Device looks similar to its competitors, but don't be fooled. Sure, there are two heads that you can pop on and off (one with finely tapered, plush bristles for gentle cleansing, and one with short silicone nubs for unclogging pores). But the real star here is the warming makeup removal plate at the bottom of the device. It's a smooth, gold plate that has two temperature settings: warm and warmer. It gets right up to the point of hot, but it's not uncomfortable.

Here's how you use it: First, rub a cleansing oil all over your face. Then switch on the makeup removal plate (I prefer the warmest setting) and rub that all over your face. Don't worry—this part feels like pure heaven. Then, grab any foamy cleanser you're partial to and pop open a little cartridge near the top of the device. Fill up the compartment with your cleanser, secure it, and then pour a little bit of water into the center of the device (right where you'd put the brush head). You are now ready to cleanse. You can use one of two different power settings, but neither is too vigorous on even the most sensitive skin. My face is prone to serious redness and the device left it squeaky-clean but not irritated. That's because the bristles are legitimately softer than my cat's fur (and everyone assures me she's exceptionally soft).

After all that, there is still one more step (see? I told you this is for serious face cleaners only). To target large pores or blackheads, you can then pop on the second, smaller brush head. The nubby little silicone head really goes to town on the skin on and around your nose or your chin. Overall, the experience is totally pampering, if a little complicated. But I swear your skin will never look cleaner.
