Google brings the flagship camera features and processing power of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro to a mid-range Android smartphone. Meet the speedy, smart and secure Google Pixel 6a.

Magic happens Accessible via the Google Photos app, Magic Eraser is a cool photography tool that will scrub out unwanted photobombers and cameos, or intruding objects and elements that ruin a shot. It will also automatically suggest objects to remove, or you can manually circle the intruder and delete it with a tap. A multilingual marvel The perfect companion for the world traveller and those awkward moments when language is a barrier, the innovative Pixel 6a ensures things don’t get lost in translation. Live Translate facilitates message chat and face-to-face conversations in 11 languages. And to translate signs, simply point the camera and all will be revealed, with up to 55 languages supported. It’s an ingenious feature that will prove indispensable when abroad!

The power to adapt The intuitive and adaptive battery delivers over 24 hours of juice – depending on daily use, of course – and is designed to conserve power by learning which apps you most frequently use, and shutting down the ones you don’t. The Extreme Battery Saver can extend life for up to 72 hours, which is great news for binge-streamers. A full charge from empty is delivered in around two hours – a USB-C cable is included with purchase, but the actual charger is sold separately. There’s also a Quick Switch Adaptor in the box for transferring data from your old phone with a minimum of fuss.

Safe and secure Google’s Tensor security core and Titan M2 chip work in tandem to protect your sensitive data by adding an extra layer of hardware security, making the 6a one of the most secure Pixel phones to date. Fingerprint unlocking further guards against unwanted snooping, and you get five years of security updates. The phone is also protected from dust and splashes, with an IP67 rating.
